Each year, over 100 million tons of fiber are produced worldwide to be used in textile production. One million tons of dye, 42 million tons of chemical substances and 93 billion m3 of water are consumed in this process, and 1.2 billion tons of greenhouse gas emissions release. While 48 million tons of the clothing produced after all these processes are thrown away, 75% of the products that are considered to be end-of-life textiles are incinerated or buried in the ground.
When you buy a product made with Acrycycle, your contribution to nature can be expressed in the following numbers: 20%* less CO2 emissions, 32%* less water consumption** and 99.7% solvent recycling.
* The LCA calculations were done with the 2020 data in accordance with ISO 14040/44 by using SimaPro 9.3 software, Ecoinvent 3.8 LCA database, and the "EF 3.0 Method(adapted) V1.02 / EF 3.0 normalization and weighting set"With Acrycycle, waste is included in the production cycle instead of being buried in landfills, and environmental pollution is prevented.
Products made with Acrycycle are long-lasting and eco-sensitive. With Acrycycle’s ability to maintain its features as the first day for years without being deformed, we aim to minimize the consumption of natural resources during production by decreasing the need for new products.
Thanks to its RCS certificate and the product marking method, the product is easily and safely tracked in the value chain.
